Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Carpenter's Helper to assist our experienced carpenters on a variety of residential and commercial projects. This position is perfect for someone with general carpentry knowledge who is looking to gain more hands-on experience and learn the trade. You’ll be working closely with skilled professionals, performing basic carpentry tasks and supporting the team in all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist carpenters with building, installing, and repairing structures, frameworks, and fixtures.
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials under the supervision of a lead carpenter.
- Load and unload tools and materials at job sites.
- Help set up and maintain tools and equipment.
- Perform basic carpentry tasks such as sanding, nailing, drilling, and assembling.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Follow instructions from carpenters and project managers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements:
- General knowledge of carpentry, construction, and building practices.
- Ability to use basic hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, saws, etc.).
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Willingness to learn and improve carpentry skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in carpentry or construction.
- Basic understanding of construction blueprints and drawings.
- Familiarity with power tools (drills, saws, nail guns) is a plus.
