Construction Partners Inc., a publicly traded highway infrastructure company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Raleigh, NC and play a key role in supporting our internal control and audit processes. This is a great opportunity for early career accountants! We’re seeking candidates with 0–2 years of experience, including December 2025 graduates who are ready to launch their accounting careers. Reporting to the Senior Staff Accountant, this position will focus on reviewing transactions for compliance, preparing documentation for external and internal audit partners, and assisting in the maintenance of accurate financial records. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with both our in-house accounting team and external audit partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify financial transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance with policies, and adherence to internal controls
- Prepare and organize supporting documentation for internal and external audits
- Assist in testing and evaluating internal processes and controls
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve workflow efficiency
- Maintain accurate and organized records in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements
- Assist the Sr. Staff Accountant with special projects and ad hoc requests
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Familiarity with internal controls, audit processes, and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
