Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle to deliver products to customers across designated routes in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe driving practices
- Load and unload goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques while adhering to safe lifting practices and weight handling standards
- Verify delivery orders, check for accuracy, and ensure proper documentation for each shipment
- Move inventory within the warehouse using manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts; organize stock efficiently for easy access and inventory control
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, route driving, load securing, and workplace safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in manual handling, moving heavy loads, and operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Valid driver license with a clean driving record; experience with box trucks or similar vehicles preferred
- Knowledge of safe lifting practices and weight handling in the workplace to prevent injuries
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients
- Experience working in fast-paced environments requiring load & unload procedures and route driving skills
- Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly while following safe lifting practices
