Controls Engineer

Marvin is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, and support automation and control systems for our premium window and door manufacturing operations. In this role, you will develop and troubleshoot PLC/HMI solutions, integrate drives and sensors, and optimize equipment for safety, reliability, and throughput. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams on new equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects, while maintaining documentation and ensuring compliance with electrical and safety standards in a people-first, growth-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI-based control systems for manufacturing equipment and lines
• Integrate sensors, drives, and automation components to improve production quality, safety, and throughput
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams on new equipment installations and upgrades
• Develop and maintain control system documentation, drawings, and standard work instructions
• Analyze equipment performance data and implement control changes for continuous improvement
• Support root-cause analysis, downtime reduction, and corrective actions for automation-related issues
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and Marvin engineering standards
• Provide training and technical support to maintenance and operations teams on control systems
