Auto Maintenance Tech I

Cox Automotive is seeking an Auto Maintenance Tech I to support reliable vehicle operations in our telecommunications and media-driven automotive services environment. In this entry-level role, you'll perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic mechanical repairs on a range of vehicles and equipment. You will use hand tools and diagnostic equipment, follow detailed work orders, and document completed services. Working in a collaborative, safety-focused shop, you'll learn from experienced technicians and grow your skills while supporting critical fleet and remarketing operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on a variety of vehicles and automotive equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using standard tools and diagnostic equipment, escalating complex problems as needed.
• Complete work orders, maintenance records, and inspection checklists accurately and on time.
• Follow all Cox Automotive safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and shop procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work bay.
• Collaborate with technicians, service advisors, and operations teams to meet service timelines.
• Communicate repair needs and status clearly to supervisors and internal customers.
• Support continuous improvement, training, and adoption of new automotive technologies.
