Project Manager — Commercial Interiors | NYC
A well-regarded commercial interiors General Contractor is hiring a Project Manager to run high-end fit-out projects across NYC. The company delivers corporate interiors, financial services, legal, and Class A office buildouts — strong backlog, blue-chip client list, and a culture built around delivering work cleanly and protecting long-term client relationships.
Why this role Real ownership from preconstruction through closeout. You'll run your own projects, manage your own client relationships, and have direct line to the principals. The team is lean, experienced, and built around PMs who can operate with autonomy.
What you'll do
- Lead interiors projects from preconstruction through punch list and closeout
- Own the project budget, schedule, and client relationship
- Manage subs, vendors, and internal site teams day-to-day
- Run OAC meetings, manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and pay apps
- Coordinate with architects, designers and ownership reps throughout the project
- Mentor APMs and Project Engineers on the team
What you need
- 3 years of PM experience with a GC running commercial interiors projects in NYC
- Track record managing fit-outs from $5M to $50M
- Strong command of NYC subcontractor base and DOB/landlord processes
- Comfortable being client-facing — this is a relationship-driven business
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project or similar
- BS in Construction Management or related field preferred
