Position Summary
We are seeking a Funds Control Specialist in office full-time to join our team in Southpointe (Canonsburg, PA). While local candidates are preferred, proximity to the Pittsburgh area is not required.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively under strict deadlines. This role involves reviewing and processing construction payment applications, auditing invoices, analyzing budgets, and tracking lien waivers and fund disbursements.

Key Responsibilities
· Manage multiple construction projects efficiently and accurately
· Oversee quality control throughout each project’s life cycle
· Perform data entry into CFAS databases and disbursement systems
· Serve as the main financial and accounting contact for assigned projects
· Coordinate with team members and clients to deliver high-quality results within established timelines
· Prepare engagement letters, reports, and supporting documentation
· Handle extensive email and phone communication with clients and vendors
· Review and verify invoices, backup documentation, and lien waivers
· Manage fund disbursements to borrowers, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
· Monitor contractor and subcontractor activity from both administrative and accounting perspectives
· Maintain accurate project records, including subcontractor/vendor lists, check details, and payment information
· Address client questions, concerns, and follow-ups promptly and professionally
· Delegate tasks and responsibilities among team members as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Education: Minimum 2-year accounting degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of experience in construction accounting, financial services, or bookkeeping
- Software Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word (Excel proficiency required) and QuickBooks Desktop
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of construction contracts, budgets, and cost estimates is highly beneficial
- Other Skills:
· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
· Excellent attention to detail and time management
· Customer service–focused mindset
· Ability to handle extended hours when necessary
