General Construction Project Manager Mission Critical Project
Construction Dynamics, Inc is seeking the services of an experienced Project Manager to work on a Data Center Project in St. George, SC approximately 55 miles north of Charleston, SC. The PM selected will be responsible for the Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) components of the building. This individual must ensure general industry and safety compliance for the assign project.
Responsibilities
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time and budget parameters
- Reviews project schedule prepared by 3rd party firm. Provide input.
- Review budget limitations, procedures for accomplishing project targets, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
- Field work will be performed by Trade Contractors.
- Ensure all pre-construction activities are completed withing schedule durations to assure that construction activities are not delayed.
- Work with Superintendents responsible for managing the field activities performed by trade partners.
- Responsible for project completion and financials, success factors, and customer satisfaction results.
- Prepares status reports on the project including updates to clients and corporate personnel as required.
- Consults with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve issues.
- Coordinates with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Responsible for execution of project as designed and submits change orders, submittals, RFI's for any adjustments to the plan as necessary.
- Works with persons responsible for safety compliance and performance. Ensures immediate corrective actions are taken if necessary, regarding any violations.
Qualifications
- 8 years of experience building industrial and commercial facilities. Experience with on Mission Critical Projects is a plus.
- Must have 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Must have superior computer skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Blue Beam, Microsoft Project), etc.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-directed with strong organizational skills, attention to details.
- Strong math and analytical skills in regard to cost and pricing.
- Ability to work effectively and ensure that we meet project deadlines.
- Ability to establish, maintain positive working relationships, and support team morale.
- A desire to lead the team to achieve the mission.
- Estimating experience is a plus.
