Security Receptionist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Full-time Flexible Site Security Receptionist serves as the initial point of contact for visitors and staff, providing essential administrative and front-desk support in a secure environment at either the Forrestal or Germantown facility. This role is critical for maintaining an organized and secure front Reception Desk while ensuring efficient daily operations. The successful candidate will manage incoming communications, provide visitor assistance, and uphold security protocols. This position requires flexibility to work at either the Forrestal or Germantown location based on weekly schedules provided by management, necessitating reliable transportation and the ability to commute between sites as required.

PAY TRANSPARENCY: $31.51 Hourly

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet guests as they arrive inside the building 

• Provide professional communication on the phone, electronic mail, and in-person 

• Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner 

• Read and enter identifiable information into software system 

• Operate computer, scanner, and printer 

• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable 

• Other duties as assigned 

• Applicants must possess a high school diploma, or its state recognized equivalent 

• Work is typically based on a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.  

• May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.  

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Excellent interpersonal skills 

• One year experience/education in the business, clerical field 

• Demonstrated basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suites 

• Ability to follow directions carefully and precisely 

• Applicant must possess a high school diploma or its state recognized equivalent 

• Clearance: At a minimum, the individual proposed must possess a DOE (Q) security clearance or must meet the eligibility requirements that will reasonably ensure a DOE (Q) clearance is obtained.  

• Applicants must complete training on the visitor access database procedure and complete a course in professional interaction.  
• Candidate must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel between the Forrestal and Germantown locations as scheduled.
