This is a hands‑on, consultative recruiting role where you’ll own the full recruitment lifecycle, partner closely with hiring leaders, and deliver a strong candidate experience—without sacrificing accuracy, transparency, or speed.
We’re looking for a recruiter who thrives in complexity, understands how to balance urgency with compliance, and brings a strong bias for action.
This position is based in Herndon, VA. Qualified candidates in other locations may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Own full‑lifecycle recruiting for assigned programs and projects, from intake through offer and onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers as a trusted advisor, guiding efficient and compliant recruiting decisions
- Conduct high‑quality, structured prescreens to assess qualifications, role alignment, project context, and risk factors
- Actively source candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, Boolean search, referrals, networking, and AI‑enabled sourcing tools
- Maintain a deep understanding of program requirements, customer needs, and compliance obligations
- Manage requisitions, candidate communication, and reporting within the Applicant Tracking System
- Ensure all recruiting processes align with applicable laws, internal policies, and government contracting requirements
- Manage the offer process, including negotiations and new‑hire setup
- Track recruiting metrics such as applicant flow, time‑to‑fill, and cost‑per‑hire
- Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning, process improvements, and special projects
Qualifications
- 4 years of full‑lifecycle recruiting experience (corporate and/or staffing agency)
- Experience recruiting in complex or highly regulated environments
- Government contracting recruiting experience strongly preferred (including clearance awareness)
- Strong prescreening, candidate evaluation, and hiring manager partnership skills
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a high‑volume environment
- Hands‑on experience with ATS platforms (ADP, UKG, or similar)
- Knowledge of employment law and defensible hiring practices
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and self‑directed
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
