POSITION SUMMARY
The Director, Project Control reports, presents, and analyzes the financial performance of the Division by reviewing financial performance, advising Program Managers, Management, Financial Analysts and other teammates on Margin/Profitability Improvement Initiatives to include Risks and Opportunities to achieving Annual Planning Commitments and ongoing Forecasts.
The Director leads a team of Program Control & Financial Analysts, populates monthly financial reviews and in collaboration with Project Managers presents financial results to Division President. This position reports to the Enterprise Project Control Leader at Corporate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the Division and associated Business Units, supports strategy and new business reviews as needed
- Directs the Team with preparation and review of the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Conducts monthly review of revenue to ensure that revenue is recognized in accordance with contract requirements and Company's revenue recognition policies
- Direct the preparation of ETCs & EACs
- Reviews monthly accruals for accuracy, integrity, and compliance with corporate accounting practices
- Reviews unbilled balances monthly, driving/assisting in problem resolution and conversion to billed/collections
- Compares budget/forecast to actuals for direct and indirect costs and analyzes variances
- Responsible for monitoring and managing Overhead cost pools
- Develop and present monthly operational performance reviews to Division and Corporate senior leadership
- Participates in all Contract kick off meetings with contracts, pricing, operations, and other functional departments
- Develops and reviews pricing strategy to maximize P-Win and to enhance program profitability and cash flow
- Manages Division and Business Unit indirect rate performance
- Design, implement and direct multiple complex projects, setting and meeting deadlines and ensuring program accountability
- Train & mentor project control & financial analysts as needed
- Supports M&A activity as needed
- Acts as the interface to other functional leadership on problem resolution
- Acts as the Division lead for policy and process implementation and monitoring
- Supports the organization with all required corporate reporting
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline, plus 10 years of related experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leading a team of > 5 full time employees
- Experience with organizations with annual sales >$500M
- Ability to work effectively with short turnaround job tasking and time constraints
- Deltek Costpoint, Cognos, TM1 and FocusPoint experience desired
- Understanding of the creation, application and allocation of indirect rates
- Strong MS Office experience (specifically Excel)
- History of working in a fast pace and complex organization structure
- History with pricing proposals
- Interacts and communicates, both oral and written, with individuals/teams at all levels of the organization

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
