School Psychologist| Early Intervention & Professional Supports School-Based Consultant

Baltimore, Maryland | Full-Time, Hourly

Hourly Range: $85.00-$90.00

Take behavior science beyond the caseload through early intervention and professional support in Maryland.
SSG is expanding its early intervention and professional support initiatives for young children and the educators who serve them in the Baltimore area. We are identifying uniquely skilled individuals to support this work. As an Early Intervention & Professional Support Systems Consultant, you will collaborate in early learning environments, working side by side with teachers, supporting professional learning, and helping strengthen practices across educational settings. Your behavior science expertise makes you a natural fit, and this role takes it beyond individual cases into educator development, classrooms, and school systems.
Why you will love this role
  • Help shape meaningful practice. Contribute your expertise to evolving early intervention and professional support initiatives.
  • Get in on the ground floor. Join a new program from day one, with a voice in how it grows.
  • Get insider access to cutting-edge tools before anyone else. You'll be mentored by SSG's systems leaders and product builders, apply innovative tools in educational settings, and see your field insights built into what comes next.
  • See your impact. Watch classrooms transform over the school year, with the data to prove it.
  • Your ideas travel. Help translate effective practices into approaches that can support additional classrooms and programs.
  • Do the work you love. Hands-on time in real classrooms with young children and the educators who teach them.
  • A team behind you. Join a national company with a deep clinical team of BCBAs, school psychologists, SLPs, and OTs.
What your days look like
  • Coach teachers and paraprofessionals in real classrooms through modeling, practice, and real-time feedback
  • Design classroom environments, routines, and visual supports that help young children engage and learn
  • Strengthen IEP goals, co-teaching, and small-group instruction
  • Help teams support children with autism and complex behavioral, communication, and social-emotional needs
  • Lead hands-on workshops and quick-turn consultations with school teams
  • Partner with school and district leaders, and bring family and staff voices into the work
  • Use classroom data to show progress and guide next steps
  • Audit existing PD plans, resources, and practices for quality and alignment
  • Guide systems design with principals and district leaders, including adult roles, coaching routines, and data use
  • Help plan for strengthening and extending effective supports across settings
What you bring
  • Active Maryland School Psychologist certification (required)
  • Ed.S., Psy.S., or equivalent graduate degree in school psychology
  • Experience in early childhood or early childhood special education
  • Experience coaching or consulting with educators
  • A passion for partnering with families
  • Experience consulting with school or district leadership
  • Experience designing or evaluating professional development
  • Systems-level experience, such as MTSS or program implementation
