Job Description
The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Lakewood, WA for the 26/27 school year! This is a full-time position supporting a local K-12 district with private duty/1:1 nursing services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Active RN license valid in Washington
- Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program
- Current BLS CPR/AED certification
- ESA Certification
- Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including:
- Trach/vent management
- Seizure management - competent with seizure action plans and rescue medications
- G-Tube management
- Pediatric diabetic care
- Oxygen and airway management
- Diapering
- Transfers and positioning
- Cortical visual impairment knowledge
- Ability to work independently in a non-clinical environment
- Preferred: pediatric experience, school based experience
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, therapists, and healthcare providers
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Prior school-based experience highly preferred
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day
- Implement and monitor student health plans
- Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities when assigned
- Communicate significant status changes to family, school staff, and clinical leadership
- Provide first aid, daily medical care, and emergency support
- Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and HIPAA requirements
