The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add an experienced and motivated event bar captain to join our Constellation team in Santa Ana, CA . As an event bar captain, you will have the opportunity to ensure smooth food service for a variety of events and supervise front and back of house activity.
Compensation:
$33 an hour.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading a team of event staff to direct a successful service.
- Facilitating transportation of equipment and service, maintaining inventory, ensuring maintenance of catering equipment and storage areas, and room decoration.
- Setting up and breaking down all front of house and back of house bars and beverage stations.
- Handling customer service needs.
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
- Excellent communication and organization skills, attention to detail, and service knowledge.
- At least two years of experience as a service lead or supervisor in a hotel or catering environment.
- Ability to memorize and describe a variety of recipes, especially for mixed beverages.
- Available on Saturday/Sunday a must
- Willing to work holidays
- Ability to climb stairs and stand and walk for long periods of time
- Needs to be able to lift 40lbs.
Nice-to-haves:
- Food Handler’s certification
