Our role are full-time, on-site positions at our Berkeley office, just steps from the nearest BART (metro) and bus stop. On-site parking is also available.

Convening Programs
This team aims to strengthen:
- Relationship building as a general investment in future cooperation potential
- Intellectual discourse such as sharing knowledge or exploring new ideas
- Professional support such as feedback, advice, or introductions
- Collaboration involving pooled labor and/or other resources on shared goals
- Coordination of complementary actions, to avoid redundancy or gaps
- by offering:
- Hosting services in physical or virtual workspaces, with lightweight facilitation, to encourage self-directed cooperation
- Facilitated events, ranging from high-touch hosting for individual VIPs to large workshops and conferences
- enabled by:
- Network curation including the framework that defines individuals’ and teams’ terms of participation, and the policies, processes & tools for curating participants
- Interaction design including the design and implementation of cultural norms, formal policies, and functional designs for convening spaces, both physical and online
This team advances Constellation’s mission to safely navigate transformative AI by:
- Creating the conditions for high-leverage ideas and orgs to emerge
- Enabling new paradigms and interventions to be tested and scaled
- Addressing capability constraints via projects & orgs across the lifecycle: idea → development → adoption
- Project Incubation: Support early-stage ideas through structured programs and lightweight experiments (e.g. Astra fellowship)
- Org Incubation: Help founders launch nonprofits or for-profits focused on high-leverage safety work (e.g. C* incubator program)
- Shared Services:
- Core Infrastructure: Offer shared tools, systems, workspace and biz ops services that reduce friction and improve execution
- Acceleration Services: Provide high-quality execution and strategy support to accelerate or scale impact (e.g. research/project management, strategy, board & governance advisory)
- Adoption Support: Help translate promising work into field impact via comms support, partnerships, and targeted institutional engagement (e.g. media relations, government relations)
Talent Mobilization Programs
We strengthen the AI safety field’s capacity to meet its most pressing challenges by mobilizing and developing talent into high-impact roles. This involves:
- Entry into the field - placing individuals into their first AI safety-aligned roles
- Movement within the field - enabling transitions into more impactful or better-aligned roles
- Sustained network impact - increasing the effectiveness and retention of individuals in high-impact* positions
- Maximizing individual impact through high-quality placements
- Enabling timely, well-matched transitions across the ecosystem
- Providing tailored support to increase the effectiveness and retention of individuals in high-impact roles
