Role Description The Quality Assurance Quality Control Coordinator is a full-time, on-site position based in Charleston, SC. This role is responsible for implementing and overseeing QA/QC procedures across engineering projects to ensure compliance with company standards, industry codes, and client requirements. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and technical documents, performing clash detection on revit/navisworks, review coordination across all disciplines, project setup, and maintaining company-wide drafting standards. The coordinator will prepare and maintain QA/QC records, assist with internal audits, and collaborate with project managers and design staff to resolve quality issues and improve processes. This role also supports continuous improvement initiatives by gathering quality data, identifying trends, and recommending updates to quality management practices.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Quality Control and Inspection for engineering or construction-related projects.
- Experience with Quality Assurance and Quality Management systems, including documentation and process control.
- Exposure to Quality Auditing activities, such as internal audits, compliance checks, and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks across concurrent projects.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with project teams and documenting findings.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., MS Office) and basic familiarity with engineering or construction documentation.
- Relevant experience in an engineering, construction, or architectural environment is preferred.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, quality management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and Revit).
