What are the responsibilities and job description for the AV Service Technician position at Constant Technologies?
We’re seeking an experienced AV Service Technician to join our growing team. This position requires frequent domestic and international travel and is ideal for an AV professional who enjoys working onsite with customers and tackling complex technical challenges in diverse environments. In this role, you'll troubleshoot, repair, and support technology solutions for command and control centers that support mission-critical operations. You'll work directly with customers, diagnose technical issues, perform system repairs and upgrades, and help ensure our clients' AV systems operate reliably 24/7.

What You'll Do
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and control system issues in a diverse set of AV environments
- Service and support AV systems including displays, video walls, conferencing systems, DSPs, control systems, and network-connected devices
- Troubleshoot Crestron, Extron, AMX, and other integrated AV platforms
- Perform onsite and remote service calls
- Document findings, repairs, and recommendations in service tickets
- Configure, test, and replace AV equipment as needed
- Assist with rack modifications, equipment upgrades, and system commissioning
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly with clients throughout the service process
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of commercial AV service, support, or integration experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting integrated AV systems, control systems, conferencing solutions, and video distribution systems
- Ability to read system drawings and technical documentation
- Experience terminating and testing low-voltage cabling
- CTS certification or manufacturer certifications are a plus
- Valid driver's license and willingness and ability to travel, including domestic and international assignments
- Based within commuting distance of North Kingstown, RI and available to work from the office when not traveling
- Ability to successfully complete a post-offer background check
