We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. In this role, you will monitor access points, conduct surveillance, and maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. Your proactive presence will help prevent theft, manage conflicts, and respond effectively to emergencies. Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances and exits to authorize authorized personnel, visitors, and vendors while maintaining accurate logs of all entries and exits
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to oversee property activity and identify potential security issues
- Perform routine patrols around the premises to deter unauthorized activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Respond promptly to incidents or disturbances, applying conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and reporting concerns according to established procedures
- Provide first aid or CPR when necessary, supporting health emergencies with confidence and professionalism
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents or investigations as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and security protocols
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and security best practices
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail during patrols and surveillance activities
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts
