We are seeking a highly motivated Ph.D. student to join the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Howard University beginning in Fall 2026. The student will be co-advised by Dr. Sara KamanMalek and Dr. Sanjib Sharma and will work at the intersection of environmental informatics, hydrology, and data-driven modeling.

Position Requirements
- Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Remote Sensing, or a related field
- Experience in experimental methods, watershed modeling, or climate data
- Experience with GIS, remote sensing, data analytics, or machine learning
- Strong programming skills (Python, R, MATLAB, etc.)
- TOEFL required for international applicants
