Director of Central Services
Consonus Pharmacy is a closed-door long-term care pharmacy specializing in the needs of nursing facilities, assisted living residents, and their caregivers. As the Director of Central Services, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the shared service functions that support Consonus Pharmacy’s mission of delivering safe, efficient, and customer focused pharmacy care.
This role oversees teams responsible for Customer Support, Facility Transitions, Audits & Compliance, Strategic Projects, and Learning & Development, ensuring that each service operates with consistency, accountability, and a deep focus on patient safety and customer experience.
The Director of Central Services drives collaboration across departments, implements standard work and Lean principles, and leads initiatives that improve service delivery, process reliability, and employee engagement across all Central Operations functions.

Director of Central Services

General Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute the strategic plan for Central Operations Services, aligning with the organization’s patient safety and operational excellence goals.
- Partner with other Central Operations Directors to ensure seamless collaboration between services, integrations, and systems.
- Lead standardization efforts across multiple pharmacies and service lines to ensure consistent processes, documentation, and communication.
- Provide direct leadership for Customer Support, Facility Transitions, Learning & Development, Strategic Projects, and Audit/Compliance functions.
- Collaborate with regional operations and pharmacy leaders to resolve service challenges and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high performing team of managers, leads, and specialists.
- Partner with Learning & Development to strengthen technician onboarding, and ongoing training programs.
- Lead Lean improvement projects focused on reducing variation and waste within Central Operations workflows.
- Collaborate with Pharmacy Operations and Clinical teams to ensure that process improvements enhance patient safety outcomes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated support for internal and external stakeholders.

- 5 years of experience in pharmacy operations, technology integration, or systems implementation; long-term care or healthcare experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Knowledgeable of pharmacy pricing and reimbursement process.
- Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and improving operational performance.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar).
- Ability to analyze financial reports and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, customer support, and regulatory compliance preferred.
- Located or be willing to relocate near our area pharmacies in WA, OR, CA, NV, AZ, MN, IA, NE.
