Job Description:
The Business Systems Specialist serves as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the Epicor Eclipse ERP system, ensuring system stability, accuracy, and optimization across all departments. This role supports configuration, maintenance, and user enablement to streamline operations, improve data integrity, and enhance system performance. The position requires strong analytical, technical, and communication skills to support users, optimize workflows, and align business systems with company objectives.
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary administrator for the Epicor Eclipse ERP system, ensuring stable performance and proper functionality.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot errors, and collaborate with Eclipse Support and internal IT resources to resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain system security, including user access, permissions, and role assignments.
- Provide frontline support and training for Eclipse ERP users across all departments.
- Develop training materials and conduct sessions for new and existing users.
- Configure system settings, menus, and data views to align with business requirements.
- Create, modify, and maintain reports and dashboards in Eclipse ERP, Power BI, Excel, and Phocas BI.
- Ensure accurate and timely data flow between Eclipse and other business systems.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to implement integrations and system enhancements.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate workflows, recommend process improvements, and support ERP-related projects.
- Document processes, configurations, and change histories to maintain clear system records.
- Act as a liaison between IT and business users for all ERP-related needs.
- Maintain effective communication and positive working relationships with all departments.
- Comply with company policies and contribute to a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in computer information systems, with a solid understanding of hardware, software, and networking.
Deep understanding of Epicor Eclipse data structures, reports, and user-defined components.
- Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to translate business needs into effective system solutions.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and Phocas BI for reporting and data analysis.
- Experience managing system integrations and third-party add-ons.
- Excellent communication, training, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions described above.
