What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Consolidated Steel, Inc.?
Consolidated Steel, Inc. is looking for NIGHT SHIFT (3:00PM-12:00AM) entry level to intermediate Quality Inspectors and Kit Coordinators. Candidates will be responsible for assembling parts kits originating in multiple locations from checklists into complete kits for QA inspection and shipment to customers or to fabrication. All parts require QA inspections using hand tools. Tools include tape measures, digital caliper, square and radius gauges. Subjects must be able to read individual part prints to decipher part measurement requirements and tolerances across numerous blueprint types. Previous experience in steel fabrication, print reading and QC is highly preferred, but not necessary. Pay offered will reflect relevant experience and/or capability. Community college or trade school education in blueprint reading is not a requirement but will factor strongly into hiring. These positions have tremendous opportunity for advancement and technical skills training, including weldment or assembly QC, CMM arm inspection techniques, 2D and 3D laser scan techniques, and high volume OEM Quality Control and Quality Assurance training.
