Summary:
Join our Jeffersonville, Indiana, branch as an Inside Sales Specialist/Estimator focused primarily on treatment plants and pump stations. You will drive sales by performing detailed job takeoffs and estimates, generating accurate quotes, and providing outstanding customer service for the pipe, valve, and fitting products.
Essential Functions/Duties:
- Perform detailed job takeoffs and material estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and drawings for wastewater treatment plants and pump station projects.
- Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates, bids, and quotations based on takeoffs to support winning new business.
- Respond promptly to customer needs with price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, and adjustments for wastewater treatment plant and pump station projects.
- Build strong rapport with customers, OEMs, and distributors while delivering the best possible service every time.
- Use ERP systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel to retrieve customer information, check stock status, update purchase orders, and maintain accurate records.
- Follow up on inquiries, track order status and deliveries, and coordinate closely with purchasing to ensure on-time shipments.
- Work closely with the branch’s outside sales representative to target and grow sales in the wastewater sector.
Background/Skills:
- 2 years of inside sales and customer service.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Experience with job takeoffs, estimating, or reading construction plans/specifications preferred.
- Excellent phone communication, relationship-building, and customer-first mindset.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Eagerness to become technically knowledgeable about pipe, valve, and fitting products for wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.
