We are looking for an Industrial Painter to join our team! Must be proficient in surface cleaning, preparation, and pressure pot paint gun painting to accomplish assigned tasks, producing work of a high standard in accordance with Consolidated Pipe and Supply policies and procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to speak and read English
- Ability to maintain and use pressure pot painting equipment (previous experience preferred) safely and efficiently
- Must be dependable and have reliable transportation to and from work
- Submitting a pre-employment drug test
- Submit to and pass a physician examination due to the use of respiratory equipment
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Responsible for painting (prime coat and topcoat) using a pressure pot gun in accordance with policies and procedures as set by Consolidated Pipe and Supply
- Clean and prepare surface areas prior to painting and complete the pre-start equipment checks
- Maintain pressure pot painting tools and equipment
- Accurately maintain required tags, records, and any other paperwork required for each product
- Handle painted products to ensure the product is delivered to the shipping department without damage to the paint
- Maintain a safe and clean painting area
- Follow ALL corporate safety requirements and standards, including but not limited to the use of respiratory equipment, protective clothing, protective lenses/goggles, steel-toed boots, etc.
- Other painting as required by the Post Fabrication Foreman and/or Fabrication Manager
- Safely operate a forklift
