ConMet is seeking an experienced CAD Application Lead – PTC Creo to serve as the enterprise owner and hands-on subject matter expert for PTC Creo within our mechanical engineering environment. This onsite, engineering-facing role is responsible for configuring, administering, and enabling effective use of Creo across the organization while driving CAD standards, best practices, and providing direct user mentoring.
The ideal candidate brings deep, hands‑on experience using PTC Creo as a primary mechanical design tool, along with strong functional experience using Windchill PLM as an engineering user. This role is not responsible for Windchill system administration or PLM support but does require practical experience working within Windchill‑managed CAD workflows.
This is an onsite (not hybrid or remote) office job based at ConMet's corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Washington. Non-local candidates must be open to relocation (relocation assistance available).

What You’ll Do
- Own enterprise Creo configuration, standards, and usage practices
- Define and enforce Creo modeling and drawing best practices
- Serve as the escalation point for advanced Creo usage questions
- Mentor and coach engineers on efficient, standards‑compliant Creo workflows
- Apply functional Windchill knowledge to support proper CAD data management, revisions, and release readiness
- Develop job aids, standard work, and lightweight training materials
- Partner with Engineering Systems, PLM, and cross‑functional teams to improve design efficiency and CAD data quality
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required; Mechanical Engineering preferred
- 8 years of hands‑on experience using PTC Creo in a mechanical engineering environment
- Advanced Creo expertise (complex modeling, large assemblies, drawings, performance optimization)
- Product development experience using Creo from concept through engineering release
- Functional experience using Windchill PLM as an engineering user
- Strong communication, mentoring, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience working in distributed, cross‑functional engineering environments
Important Note
This role requires advanced hands‑on mechanical CAD expertise in PTC Creo. Candidates whose background is primarily PLM administration, IT support, or Windchill configuration without significant hands-on Creo product development experience will not be considered.

Compensation & Benefits
- New hires generally start between $100,367 - $136,212. The full salary range for the position, across all geographies, is $100,367 - $172,000 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
- Targeted annual bonus is based on company performance to objectives during the fiscal plan year which runs from October 1 – September 30.
