Consolidated Machine & Welding is looking for a second-shift Laser Cutting Operator at our Hannibal, MO location. The CNC Laser Operator uses computer controlled cutting equipment to cut steel, aluminum, stainless steel and various other metals into a wide variety of parts. You will be responsible for loading raw material into the machine, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring machine is properly maintained. Pay starting at $19.06 per hour with the opportunity to earn up to $23.69 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform laser cutting operations using cutting programs and fixtures.
- Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
- Monitor machine performance.
- Perform required maintenance on machine. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
- Perform all dimensional inspections.
- Operate forklift as needed.
- Use ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to log in and out of work orders.
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to use a tape measure, calipers, and basic hand tools.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to identify material.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer skills
What Helps:
- CNC experience preferred.
- Forklift operating experience preferred.
