Consolidated Machine & Welding is looking for a Staff Accountant at our Hannibal, MO location. Under general direction, you’ll perform professional accounting work, including: the maintenance and review of financial records; preparing various reports and financial statements; and performing a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform month-end closing activities.
- Manage balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
- Review and analyze transactions of production orders to ensure accurate costing.
- AP/AR and General Ledger activities on a weekly basis.
- Review and establish standard costs as needed.
- Participate and support inventory processes. Including physical inventories.
- Measure and report KPIs related to operational performance.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 1-3 years in operational, inventory, and/or cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- High level of initiative and accountability.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and precision in all tasks.
- Excellent ability to organize information, manage tasks and projects, and use available tools to effectively contribute to the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Willingness to work overtime to meet accounting deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents and oral communication skills.
