Staff Accountant

Onsite in Hannibal, MO.

Monday-Friday 7am-4pm.

From $60,000/year.

Consolidated Machine & Welding is looking for a Staff Accountant at our Hannibal, MO location. Under general direction, you’ll perform professional accounting work, including: the maintenance and review of financial records; preparing various reports and financial statements; and performing a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform month-end closing activities.
• Manage balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
• Review and analyze transactions of production orders to ensure accurate costing.
• AP/AR and General Ledger activities on a weekly basis.
• Review and establish standard costs as needed.
• Participate and support inventory processes. Including physical inventories.
• Measure and report KPIs related to operational performance.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 1-3 years in operational, inventory, and/or cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• High level of initiative and accountability.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and precision in all tasks.
• Excellent ability to organize information, manage tasks and projects, and use available tools to effectively contribute to the organization.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet accounting deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents and oral communication skills.
