Summary 

Director – Strategic Leader in Confronting Antisemitism 

The David Merage Foundation is committed to mobilizing the largest possible movement of Americans to confront Jew-hatred and the profound moral and existential threat it represents. We seek a fearless, visionary, and highly accomplished leader to spearhead this critical mission and guide the Foundation’s efforts to create lasting, systemic change. 

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional who thrives in complex, high-stakes environments, possesses understanding of antisemitism—historical, contemporary, and systemic, and has a proven ability to translate strategy into impactful action and results. The ideal candidate will be a courageous change agent, capable of navigating sensitive issues with diplomacy and strength, while inspiring collaboration and driving measurable results. 

Key Responsibilities 

Reporting directly to Laura Merage, the Director will: 

Advance and implement the Foundation’s strategic vision to confront antisemitism in the United States.Lead initiatives that mobilize public awareness, influence policy, and foster partnerships across sectors.Serve as a thought leader and advocate, leveraging historical context, current trends, and best practices to shape effective interventions.Ensure operational excellence while maintaining agility in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.Ideal Candidate Profile 

Proven Leadership in Complex Change: Demonstrated success in leading organizations or initiatives that address challenging societal issues, requiring courage, creativity, and persistence.Understanding of Antisemitism and Related Issues: Comprehensive understanding of antisemitism’s historical roots, contemporary manifestations, and prior efforts to combat it—combined with the ability to innovate beyond traditional approaches.Strategic and Tactical Agility: Skilled at balancing big-picture vision with hands-on execution, ensuring strategies translate into measurable impact and results.Diplomatic and Influential: Adept at engaging diverse stakeholders, building coalitions, and navigating sensitive conversations with tact and authority.Innovative and Resourceful: Brings creativity and resilience to problem-solving, with the ability to manage multiple priorities without compromising quality or outcomes.Mission-Driven: Deep personal commitment to advancing the Foundation’s goals and values.This role demands a high-performing, entrepreneurial leader who is not only passionate about the mission but also equipped with the knowledge, experience, and resolve to drive systemic change.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Management or related degree, Graduate degree highly preferredExperience in collective impact, convening and leading other organizations towards common goals, developing funding partners and alliancesExperience with Salesforce or similar CRMPreferred experience with startups in Philanthropy/Nonprofit administrationPreferred experience or exposure to confronting antisemitismStrong communications killsAbility to address challenges with creative problem solving and maintain high performance levels in a rapidly evolving work environmentHigh emotional intelligence and excellent relationship building skillsPreferred experience preparing and administering budgetsAbility to interface with sensitive information ethically and responsiblyStrong organizational skills with ability to adhere to fast-paced project timelinesTravel 

Approximately 30%Salary Range 

$150,000 - $175,000 annuallyBenefits
