Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to meet their needs effectively
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling opportunities to maximize sales potential
- Maintain accurate stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and conducting inventory counts
- Handle retail math calculations for transactions, discounts, and pricing adjustments with precision
- Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at shift end and process retail sales efficiently using proper cashiering protocols
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring store presentation standards are met
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly valued
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math calculations is essential for smooth transactions
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and pricing tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of retail store product lines and merchandising techniques to enhance customer experience
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment
