Job Description
Con Edison, a multibillion-dollar energy utility, is leading the clean energy transition in New York City and Westchester County. We are investing hundreds of millions of dollars annually to integrate distributed resources into our electric and gas systems, support electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and scale adoption of energy efficiency and clean heating technologies across our customers.Build your clean energy career on one of the largest electric vehicle teams in the country! Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
The SmartCharge Technology Program Manager will lead the Companys first electric vehicle (EV) load management technology program. Responsibilities include day-to-day operational oversight, developing and maintaining program rules, budget planning and forecasting, and regulatory reporting. This role also involves building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will meet program targets and collaborate closely with various sections within Con Edison.
Assist with the ongoing administration of other E-mobility programs such as SmartCharge Commercial; monitoring program performance, ensuring timely and accurate incentive payments, analyzing charging data and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with other company departments on the implementation and ongoing administration of the Phase in Rate.
Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximize benefits to the Company.Lead the development of a proactive, customer-centric culture to foster trust and confidence among program participants.
Lead collaboration with the other sections in the E-Mobility team, including managed charging program, EV infrastructure incentive program, and strategy, as well as other internal departments including engineering and energy services.
Coordinate closely with the EV business development team to ensure exceptional customer service and optimal program performance.
Oversee the growth of the program through such activities as the development of innovative program design solutions.
Support the development of and manage software used to administer and operate the programs and oversee data management and quality control.
Liaise with Department of Public Service staff and the New York State Joint Utilities and represent the Company on various other committees/interest groups pertaining to load management technologies.
Represent the Company at industry conferences and meetings with external stakeholders related to the development of load management technologies.
Ensure that safe work practices are followed, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of work experience
Master's Degree and 2 years of work experience
Relevant Work Experience
Demonstrated experience analyzing information, both technical and financial, and making recommendations based on that information, required.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize data into business insights and effectively communicate the information in presentation format and written deliverables including long-form text and slide decks, required.
Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and writing skills, required.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly with a high degree of curiosity, required.
Initiative to continually refine and improve models or processes, passion to make something its best as new information comes in, required.
Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to drive results by collaborating with stakeholders to build consensus, required.
Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, and the ability to see the big picture as well as attention to detail, required.
Demonstrated flexibility to handle multiple assignments and deadlines. Ability to make decisions and confidently answer questions in real time, under pressure, required.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project), required.
Experience with Power BI, Salesforce, ARC GIS or other database/data verification, required.
3 years of experience leading or supporting clean energy projects or programs, preferred.
Experience with or knowledge of load management technologies, preferred.
Working knowledge of Company operations and policies, preferred.
Experience working with local, County, City and State governments, preferred.
Experience working with Department of Public Service Staff and the preparation of regulatory filings, preferred.
