Position Summary
Consolidated Chassis Management (CCM) is seeking a Junior Application Developer to design, build, and maintain applications for internal and external customers. This role offers hand-on experience with API integrations, automation solutions, business intelligence reporting, and web development in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The Jr. Application Developer will work under the guidance of the Manager of Application Development to deliver impactful, real-world applications in a critical industry. Successful candidates must have at least 3 years of development experience, including strong experience with SQL.
Important: This is an on-site position located in Rockaway, New Jersey. No remote candidates will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, API integrations, automations, business intelligence reports, and web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with business analysts, operations teams, and senior developers to gather requirements and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
- Monitor and optimize existing systems for improved functionality, performance, and user experience.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues across development and production environments.
- Document technical specifications, workflows, and system architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3 years of application development experience.
- Strong experience with SQL (T-SQL preferred).
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python preferred).
- Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST APIs).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Business Intelligence (BI) tools (Qlik preferred).
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with web and mobile application development.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) and the ability to validate AI-generated output.
- Exposure to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools (Automation Anywhere preferred).
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Azure Boards, Microsoft Planner).
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React).
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Intermodal industry or supply chain background.
