Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Assist with troubleshooting and diagnostics for gas/steam turbines and related equipment.
- Review vibration data, borescope findings, and performance trends to help identify issues.
- Support reliability engineering tasks and contribute to root-cause investigations.
- Conduct engineering calculations and prepare technical documentation.
- Development of programs and standards for company recommended maintenance practices
Project & Outage Participation
- Support major outages and overhauls, working with plant staff and senior engineers to review work scopes and engineering drawings.
- Assist with QA/QC activities, ensuring work aligns with standards (API, ASME, IEEE).
- Participate in commissioning activities and equipment inspections.
Engineering Analysis
- Contribute to engineering studies such as:
- Stress & fatigue analysis
- Performance optimization
- Reliability/availability analysis
- FMEA
- Assist in evaluating upgrade options and repair recommendations.
- Review of equipment test results and provide recommendations to fleet
Customer Support & Communication
- Communicate technical findings in a clear, professional manner.
- Participate in customer meetings with guidance from senior engineering leadership.
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and technical summaries.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure engineering work follows applicable industry standards and safety codes.
- Participate in risk assessments.
Professional Development
- Continuously develop technical expertise in power plant systems.

Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related engineering field
- 3-7 years of engineering experience in power generation, rotating equipment, or heavy industrial machinery
- Experience with turbine systems, reliability engineering, or performance analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a field and office environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Experience with vibration analysis, thermodynamic modeling, or condition monitoring
- Exposure to outage/turnaround activities
- Familiarity with API, ASME, IEEE, OSHA, and industry codes
- Progress toward PE licensure is a plus
