Crete is a 328 MW natural gas-fired simple cycle generating facility consisting of four independently dispatchable units serving the PJM power market. The Power Plant Operator ensures safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the facility while maintaining compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain plant systems in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner.
- Ensure unit reliability and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for reporting and archiving.
- Recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Develop and follow standard operating and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Train other technicians as needed.
- Safely operate company vehicles.
- Participate in scheduled and unscheduled night/weekend assignments and call-outs.
- Support safety programs and compliance efforts (NERC, environmental, etc.).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
