Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager leads a diverse team of professional and union-represented employees in maintaining fossil fuel power generation equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role encompasses team supervision, resource management, budget oversight, and strategic planning to drive operational excellence and achieve reliability and cost objectives.

The Sewaren 7 Combined Cycle Power plant is a 538 MW dual-fired power project in New Jersey. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise, support, and develop team members to foster a productive, inclusive, and compliant workforce.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, including work schedules, on-the-job training, and inspections, to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
• Manage procurement of tools, materials, and services, and oversee storeroom operations to align with inventory controls and business goals.
• Monitor and manage the maintenance budget, optimizing labor utilization, controlling costs, and minimizing overtime to meet financial targets.
• Ensure calibration, storage, and proper use of testing and measuring equipment while maintaining compliance with applicable standards and procedures.
• Collaborate on station and department strategic initiatives, supporting fleet-wide improvements and operational excellence goals.
• Streamline maintenance programs to enhance reliability, reduce costs, and align with organizational objectives.
