The Plant Manager oversees 21 direct and indirect reports and three power generation facilities in Georgia:


  • Monroe – 320 MW dual-fuel simple cycle facility with two Westinghouse 501 Gas Turbines.
  • Washington County – 620 MW gas-fueled simple cycle facility with four GE 7FA.03 Gas Turbines.
  • Sandersville – 640 MW gas-fueled simple cycle facility with eight GE 7EA Gas Turbines.

These facilities are interconnected with Georgia Power and Georgia Transmission Company and are fully contracted for power sales.


Under the general direction of the Sr. Vice President of Operations, East Region, the Plant Manager is responsible for plant operations and maintenance, safety and environmental compliance, regulatory adherence, policy administration, staff development, and financial performance across all three sites.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all day-to-day operation, maintenance, fiscal and administrative functions of the facility and for achieving company and group goals.
  • Establish and obtain approval of a complete annual operating budget and operating plan that is consistent with the objectives of the business.
  • Measure and control performance against the approved budget.
  • Establish, implement and consistently evaluate comprehensive operation standards, procedures and programs which comply with the business objectives, as well as governmental, contractual and environmental requirements, and identify strengths, weaknesses and areas of potential problems, along with suggested corrective measures.
  • Manager the facility Enterprise Asset Management system or CMMS
  • Review OEM recommended spare parts list to ensure an adequate spare parts inventory
  • Identify areas for operational improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and oversee all scheduled and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Interpret, monitor, and ensure compliance with all commercial contract provisions.
  • Evaluates and controls the level of inventory required to effectively operate the Facility, while limiting inventory costs.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to correspondence and requests for information.
  • Implement corporate standards and programs.
  • Provide accurate routine and special reports on cost allocation, HSE compliance, regulatory compliance, system and equipment reliability, availability, performance, condition and deficiencies, as well as future objectives and plans.
  • Ensure proactive compliance with environmental, health & safety programs.
  • Analyze the facility’s actual financial performance versus budget.
  • Ensure that all Facility personnel comply with established financial authority limits for the procurement and invoice processing.
  • Establish and monitor administrative procedures for the facility.
  • Oversee and monitor purchasing at the facility.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Select, train and manage a work force that is motivated, flexible in skills, cross-trained and technically astute.
  • Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with HR policies.
  • Monitor federal, state and local energy regulatory activities and their impact on the facility.
  • Monitor facility payroll and benefit programs, procedures and policies.
  • Other duties as designated by the company.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in power plant operations and maintenance management.
  • Extensive knowledge of GE and Siemens/Westinghouse gas turbine technologies preferred.
  • Strong background in gas turbine operations, generators, and electronic monitoring systems.
  • Regulatory compliance expertise (NERC, FERC, and environmental regulations).
  • Proven managerial and supervisory experience.
  • Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CMMS, and plant management software.
  • Knowledge of HR processes and compliance is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Capable of performing physical duties, including lifting (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, and working in awkward positions.

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, as this position requires occasional travel for company business. Candidates should be comfortable operating a vehicle as part of their job responsibilities and must meet any applicable company and insurance requirements.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, and relevant qualifications.


This range represents the base salary and does not include other forms of compensation, such as bonuses, benefits, or equity, which may be offered in addition to the base pay. The company reserves the right to modify compensation ranges at any time in accordance with business needs and market conditions.
