What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility - Bailey Preparation Plant position at consol?
Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is to safely and efficiently perform all duties related to prep plant and refuse operation. Position will require operation of mobile and heavy equipment, the ability to load trains, as well as general plant maintenance. Work is often performed at heights and in confined spaces, as well as in extreme weather conditions.

- Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of coal/refuse resulting from coal processing.
- Maintain, operate, repair, and troubleshoot prep plant machinery and refuse equipment
- Assist with general labor and maintenance tasks throughout the facility
- Safely, effectively, and efficiently work and respond to changing conditions at the plant facilities.
- Must comply with company, plant and regulatory policies and approved procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Able to perform equipment troubleshooting and complete repairs of pumps, vibrating screens, conveying equipment, and other equipment associated with prep plant processes.
- Understand and grasp preparation plant concepts and safety strategies
MUST MEET ALL OF THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS WITH OR WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMODATION
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, shift rotations, and holidays as schedule requires
- Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
- This position is defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles as a heavy job category and must be able to lift, carry, pull/push, climb, shovel, walk, pry, work on/near moving equipment and perform any job specific activity as required by job assignment
- Must possess effective critical thinking and comprehension skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory/Management skills and experience
- Machine and equipment operation and maintenance experience
- Prior operation skills of heavy equipment such as dozers, rock and haul trucks
