Position Summary:
The Director of Nurse Care Managers and Coordinators provides inspired leadership for the Advanced Care Programs of business, making important policy and strategic decisions while developing and implementing operational policies and procedures. This role promotes a company culture that encourages morale and performance, organizes and coordinates the clinical aspects of departmental programs, and manages a diverse clinical staff to achieve timely and desirable results.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Advanced Care Programs Operations Management: Oversee daily clinical operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while monitoring program performance.
- Program Development: Develop and implement strategies for program growth, identifying and addressing problems and opportunities for improvement.
- Guidelines and Policies: Develop and maintain guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant standards.
- Cultural Promotion: Promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale among staff.
- Quality Assurance: Assure quality of care by interpreting clients' Summary Plan descriptions and contractual agreements to ensure compliance with state nursing board requirements and other regulatory agencies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with senior stakeholders and build alliances with other organizations to enhance program effectiveness.
- Team Coordination: Maintain cooperative relationships among healthcare teams by communicating effectively, responding to requests, and participating in team problem-solving.
- Staff Management: Directly supervise nursing staff, including lower-level clinical management, ensuring effective training and competency maintenance.
- Reports to Senior Vice President of COE and Advanced Care Programs.
- Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing services through feedback from contracted providers and clients, identifying opportunities for service improvement and enhanced patient outcomes.
- Issue Resolution: Intercede effectively with families, patients, clients, and vendors to resolve concerns related to service delivery.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with nursing staff at all levels, interdisciplinary teams, executive staff, and other stakeholders in the development, implementation, and evaluation of program services.
- Delegation of Responsibilities: Delegate responsibilities appropriately based on staff licensure, education, and experience while recognizing the diverse skill levels of individual team members.
- Meeting Participation: Attend and conduct meetings with vendors, providers, and clients, traveling as needed for education, training, and marketing of Specialty Care Management programs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Unencumbered RN License.
- At least 3 years of prior supervisory experience.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Specialty Care Management, demonstrating a clear understanding of administered benefits.
- Certification in Care Management with two years of hire.
