Electrical Marine Service Engineer

We are now looking for an experienced and hands on Service Engineer to join our Team in the US. The Service Engineer conducts, maintains, tests, and repairs safety systems including Fire Detection, Gas Detection, Navigation equipment and Emission monitoring systems.

• Uses skills in restoring equipment to operation. The service engineer provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Consilium procedures and products.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and commission Consilium Safety systems including programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment.
• You will install, start up, and shut down equipment following company safety procedures for machine activation and shut down, in line with OSHA requirements.
• Provide accurate technical support and coordination to the organization in both written and verbal communication.
• Assist in training co-workers and external customers when needed and perform additional duties as required.
• Who are we looking for?
• Knowledge related to electrical/electronic, and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions.
• Bachelor’s degree or minimum three years of proven service experience in the electrical/electronics fields.
• You have knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment.
• Previous experience and ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment is preferred. You are well organized and able to learn and work well in a team.
• You are used to make accurate decisions, often under pressure, always with the costumer in mind. You operate efficiently and in the most economical way when arranging travel and lodging, always staying within the quoted amount and a pro-active attitude regarding safety. You contribute to accident prevention and safety awareness and keeps the workspace in a safe, clean and tidy condition.
  

This position includes about 75% travel days

Salary Range: 60 000 - 90 000 USD/year base salary.

This position is located in Fort Lauderdale/Miami, Florida.
