What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Associate position at Consignment Store?
We’re hiring a full-time Retail Associate for our brand-new second location in Poulsbo! Training will take place at our Bremerton store. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable team member with great customer service skills who can help customers and consignors, process sales, and keep the store clean and inviting. Weekend availability is required (9:15 AM–6:15 PM).
Responsibilities (not all inclusive):- Greet and assist customers and consignors with a smile
- Process payouts to consignors
- Operate the register and process purchases
- Answer phones
- Help with inventory and product organization
- Keep the store tidy by dusting, vacuuming, and straightening displays
- Perform closing duties at the end of each shift
- Other duties as assigned
We’re looking for someone who brings a combination of retail experience and a customer-first attitude. Here’s what we’re seeking:
- At least 1 year of experience in a retail or customer service role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 45 pounds, use a step stool, bend and stoop, and navigate stairs as needed.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Empathy for those who have physical and mental health challenges.
