- Partner with lead teacher to support optimal learning environment for students
- Co-plan lessons with academic teachers to support student learning
- Provide push-in and pull-out support as designated by students’ IEPs
- Write IEP goals matched to student needs
- Monitor and document student progress
- Write IEP reports related to student progress on their IEP
- Attend all IEP meetings in accordance with assigned students
- Provide service delivery for students, including RTI support for at risk students
- Collaborate to develop and implement individualized behavior plans to support self-regulation goals
- Consult with academic and music teachers to design and support the implementation of students’ accommodations
- Utilize the schoolwide management systems and routines to enforce school and class expectations to support students in maintaining scholarly behavior
- Lead small group and individual instruction using identified scientific, research based interventions focused specifically on individual student difficulties
- Maintain records of interventions and progress monitoring to ensure fidelity of implementation
- Assist the lead teacher in maintaining two way communication with families, including attending team/parent meetings as required
- Assist with universal screening of students
- Assist with all testing accommodations
- Utilize tracking systems to maintain lists of students participating in interventions
- Supervise student groups as assigned by the schedule
- Utilize feedback to reflect on skills and improve performance to improve supports for students
- Perform related duties as requested to support a safe learning environment
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Student Services, Principal, or designee
- Special Education license
- Experience working in an urban environment
- Reading license
- Ability to work closely and collaborate on a professional team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Bilingual - Spanish, Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole (preferred)
Salary : $57,000 - $110,000
