Full Job Description:
We are a growing conservation consultancy business seeking a dependable and detail-oriented business office manager to support our organization’s leadership team and oversee day-to-day administrative and financial operations including managing tax credit sales. This role is essential to the company’s efficiency and client services.
Responsibilities:
· Executive and general support for company leadership
· Office management, recordkeeping, and internal coordination
· Accounts Receivable, accounts payable, and invoicing
· Bookkeeping, financial accounts management, payroll, and coordination with company’s external banking and tax preparation services
· Management of tax credits sales
· Coordination and communication with all tax credit buyers and sellers
· Coordination and communication with the VA Department of Taxation
· All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in business/finance preferred
· 5 years of experience as an executive assistant, office manager, or similar role
· Proficiency with Quickbooks and Microsoft 365; ADP preferred
· Strong organization, communication, and time-management skills
· Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and handle confidential information with discretion
· Must be able to pass a criminal background check
· Experience with tax credits or conservation transactions is a plus
Schedule Flexibility:
· Full-time
· Flexible hours dependent on time of year
· End of year may require more hours per week to meet tax deadlines
