Conservation Centers For Species Survival (C2S2) brings together some of the world's leading wildlife conservation organizations to collectively leverage their space, expertise, and networks to create endangered species populations for assurance of survival and for reintroduction. The collaboration represents over 63,000 acres of large, naturalistic areas and decades of experience in wildlife management, recovery efforts, and reintroduction programs.


Full-time internship

Summer Term: June – August (12 weeks)

Must be 18 years of age at the start of the internship.


Position Overview

The C2S2 Communications & Development Intern supports digital communications and donor engagement efforts that advance our conservation mission. This is a supervised professional learning experience offering hands-on exposure to nonprofit storytelling, fundraising, audience/donor engagement, and marketing strategy.


Core Responsibilities

You will:

  • Draft content for social media, newsletters, website pages, and donor communications
  • Support donor research and stewardship activities
  • Help create digital or print promotional materials
  • Assist with event communications or logistics when needed
  • Participate in regular team meetings and complete a final internship project



Desired Skills & Experience

  • Current student or recent graduate with a field of study related to communications, marketing, nonprofit leadership, conservation, or similar
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a remote work environment
  • Valid driver’s license required



Compensation

  • A $500/month stipend is provided
  • This is a full time (32 hours minimum per week) hybrid/remote internship designed for skill development and mentorship.



Additional Requirements

  • International applicants must hold a J1 or B1 visa prior to start date (C2S2 does not sponsor visas).
  • Must be able to provide personal laptop/computer and internet access for daily tasks
