What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Accounting Associate or Team Lead, you’ll play a key role in managing client engagements, overseeing day-to-day accounting and advisory services, and mentoring junior team members. This role blends hands-on accounting work with strategic advisory support to help clients make better financial decisions.
Your day might include:
- Leading monthly and quarterly closes for multiple clients
- Delivering strategic financial insights during client meetings
- Reviewing and analyzing financials prepared by internal or outsourced teams
- Creating or refining client SOPs and workflows
- Managing deliverables in our project management tool (Accelo)
- Advising on cash flow, forecasting, and financial health
- Coordinating with clients to ensure smooth tech integrations (QBO, Xero, Keeper)
- Training, supporting, and reviewing the work of junior team members
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- 5 years of accounting experience with small businesses or startups
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients and leading accounting engagements
- Strong working knowledge of QBO and/or Xero
- Familiarity with modern tech like Keeper, Accelo, and Office 365 tools
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate numbers into strategy
- A systems thinker who can spot inefficiencies and streamline workflows
- CPA, but not required
