What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Compliance Coordinator position at Conrad Shipyard?
Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Assist in collecting, reviewing, and entering environmental compliance data into Conrad databases, including:
o Coating approvals
o Emissions activities
o Water discharges
o Water sample analytical reports
o Waste manifests
• Support HSE Specialists at each shipyard with environmental compliance
o Assist with environmental compliance audits at each shipyard.
o Provide support for overall environmental compliance efforts, including answering regulatory questions and revising procedures.
o Provide feedback to shipyards regarding compliance issues and corrective actions, as needed.
o Professionally receive and incorporate feedback from other departments.
• Assist in drafting permit-required reports for external and regulatory agencies.
• Assist in creating, revising, and maintaining environmental training tools and materials keeping current with regulatory requirements.
• Review environmental-related items for inclusion in the company parts catalog.
• Share lessons learned and best practices across all Conrad operations.
Working Conditions
• Job Location: Youngs Road Office, Morgan City, Louisiana
o Minimal travel
• Required to wear standard personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Frequent walking throughout shipyards in hot and cold weather conditions.
• Minimal lifting requirements. activities.
