Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical, electrical knowledge and experience in automotive service. This role involves diagnosing, programing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The Automotive Technician will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to effectively communicate with service writer regarding vehicle needs. We are looking for a technician that can accurately diagnose electrical, drivability issues, replace engine and transmission assembly's, is proficient at alignments. Takes pride in there work. Multi tasking and a team player is a must.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using schematics and scan tools.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Align wheels and transmit diagnostic information to ensure proper vehicle operation.
- Conduct thorough inspections of powertrain components and other critical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed on each vehicle.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance overall shop efficiency.
- Can keep and maintain a clean work area.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various automotive systems.
- Proficiency in using scan tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- A valid / clean driver's license is required; ASE or Michigan mechanic certification is mandatory.
