Brief Description
We are currently looking to hire a 2026 Summer Analyst for our Investment Team. Over the course of the 10-week program, the Summer Analyst will be fully engaged in all office activities, including meeting with current and prospective investment managers across multiple asset classes and working on a range of analytical and research projects. The Summer Analyst will work closely with an investment professional who will mentor and track his / her progress and assist in identifying their long-term career aspirations.
In addition, the Summer Analyst will be a part of the Endowment Management Investment Fellowship (EMIF), a program designed to bring a select group of bright students together and introduce them to careers in endowment management. Fellows will come together at the beginning of the summer for a multi-day seminar to learn fundamental investment concepts and gain exposure to senior investment professionals who will talk about their experiences managing endowments. Each Fellow will then work with their investment team at a major university or foundation for the duration of the fellowship and come together in San Francisco at the end of the summer to discuss their learning and experiences. Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Investment Team to evaluate potential new investments, including participating in manager meetings, assisting with quantitative evaluation, and contributing to team discussions.
- Help with portfolio monitoring by updating portfolio monitoring databases, reading investment manager communications and investment memorandums.
- Execute ad hoc research projects in collaboration with members of the Investment Team.
- Participate in the EMIF program.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate university program as a sophomore.
- Ability to adhere to the mandatory hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the Westlake Village office (Monday to Wednesday) and 2 days remotely (Thursday and Friday).
- Intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, and collaboration.
- Ability to think critically, with a demonstrable ability to ask questions and contribute to discussions.
- Attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
- Interest in investing (coursework and/or other formal training not required).
- Previous knowledge of Excel and/or strong desire to build advanced skills in the program.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- High level of professionalism and discretion with the ability to maintain confidential matters.
