A well-established national structural and civil engineering consultancy with over two decades of growth across the U.S. is seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager to join its expanding Texas operations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through construction.
- Prepare proposals, project budgets, and contracts.
- Manage project schedules and allocate workloads across your team.
- Review and perform engineering analysis, calculations, and design for structural systems.
- Collaborate closely with internal design, drafting, and construction teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Conduct construction site observations and prepare technical reports.
- Review submittals and shop drawings during the construction phase.
- Support client communications, permitting, billing, and additional service requests.
- Play an active role in developing client relationships and contributing to business growth.
What We’re Looking For:
- 6–10 years of structural engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a project management capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license a plus.
- Hands-on experience with steel, concrete, and wood design systems.
- Proficiency in lateral and gravity system design across a range of building types.
- Strong communication and leadership skills – able to mentor junior engineers and coordinate with design teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on schedule.
- A collaborative, client-focused mindset and a passion for building long-term partnerships.
