Staff Structural Engineer II (Buildings) — Dallas, TX

A national structural engineering consultancy (multi-office) is hiring a Staff Engineer II for its Dallas office. This is an intermediate-level role focused on structural analysis/design, calculation packages, construction documents, and coordination with project leadership across a variety of building types.
At this level, you’ll take on increased ownership of analysis tasks and drawing production while partnering closely with Senior/Project Engineers—building the technical depth and project experience that supports long-term advancement.
What you’ll do
- Perform structural analysis and design for building projects
- Prepare engineering calculations and support design documentation
- Produce/coordinate construction documents (drawings, details, schedules as applicable)
- Review and respond to contractor submittals/RFIs with guidance from project leadership
- Collaborate with project teams to maintain quality, consistency, and on-time delivery
What they’re looking for
- BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (MS preferred)
- EIT required; PE preferred
- 3 years progressive experience in structural analysis and design
- Experience preparing plans/detail drawings and working within a project team
- Familiarity with Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Exposure to analysis/design tools such as Enercalc, RAM, RISA, ETABS, SAP2000 (or similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
