What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Engineer position at Conrad Consulting?
We are looking for a Professional Engineer (PE) with experience in land development and civil engineering projects in New York. The engineer will work on site development projects and be responsible for preparing and reviewing plans, designs, reports, and permit documents.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review civil engineering plans for residential, commercial, and municipal projects.
- Design site layouts, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway improvements.
- Prepare plans, calculations, and reports for submission to New York municipalities and regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate with surveyors, architects, environmental consultants, and other project professionals.
- Review zoning requirements, local design standards, and applicable New York regulations.
- Communicate with clients, municipalities, contractors, and project teams.
- Attend project and municipal meetings as needed.
- Review construction plans and provide engineering support during construction.
- Manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines.
- Sign and seal engineering plans and documents as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York.
- Experience with land development and site design.
- Knowledge of New York State and local municipal requirements.
- Familiarity with stormwater management and drainage design.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- 4 years of relevant civil/land development experience preferred.
