In this role, you will:
- Take full ownership of structural renovation and adaptive reuse projects, from scoping through construction delivery
- Investigate existing conditions, diagnose deterioration, and design practical, cost-effective repair and retrofit solutions
- Provide leadership to teams—mentoring junior engineers and guiding technical reviews
- Act as a thought leader, representing the firm at industry forums, technical committees, and restoration-focused events
- Build trusted client relationships, ensuring smooth project execution and repeat business
You bring:
- 15 years in structural engineering with a strong track record in renovation, adaptive reuse, and repair
- PE license in New York (SE preferred) and advanced technical training (Master’s a plus)
- Expertise across steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and hybrid systems
- Proficiency in foundation upgrades, forensic investigation, non-destructive testing, and code-compliant retrofits
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a client-first approach
